The lists started out as a personal list of bookstores to visit. They
are being prepared for distribution at The Los Angeles Science Fantasy
Society, 11513 Burbank Blvd, N. Hollywood, CA 91601 and for general
distribution via computer BBS systems. The lists are free, I ask for no
contributions. Additional help in extending and correcting the lists is
appreciated. If you have anything to add, subtract or object to in the

Or at LASFS most Thursday evenings. LASFS is this world's oldest
science fiction club. Founded in 1934, meetings are held every Thursday
with a current attendance of about 150. The clubhouse is also open
Fridays for games and relaxation. A circulating science fiction &
fantasy library is provided for members.
* * * * * * * * * * * SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTIONS * * * * * * * * * * *
LASFS holds an annual science fiction convention, Loscon. The 1992
convention, Loscon 19 will be held in Los Angeles, CA November 27-29
1992 at the Airport Marriott Hotel. The convention is a multi-ring
circus with several tracks of programming, film, art show, dealers room
and many parties. For Information write: Loscon, 11513 Burbank Blvd, N.
Hollywood, CA 91601. Guests of Honor: Barbara Hambly (Pro) & Mike Glyer
(Fan). Registration for all 3 days is $25.00 until November 1st, 1992.
After that, $30.00 until convention time.
A convention are being run at least partly by members of LASFS:
Gallifrey One Goes Fourth, The Annual Los Angeles SF Media Convention. A
celebration of American and British Science Fiction Media. Feb 21-23,

NOTES
Some of the museum bookstores on this list are as large as a full sized
bookstore. Others have gift shops that have a bookcase or two. If the
selection is small, that will be noted with the phrase "Modest selection."
I have not attempted to list all museums, only those that have more than
just a couple of shelves of books.
